Bhutan Delicacies {Food and Fun}


Karmay Tours brings this special departure. The highlight of this trip is to see the cultural aspects as well as experience the cooking of regional Bhutanese food. We spend time with family run hotels and enjoy a hands-on Bhutanese cooking. A dinner with Wang family in Punakha and Thimphu and cook Mengay- a sort of Bhutanese pizza made from mashed rice, eggs, spring onions, mushroom and other ingredients., Travel to central Bhutan (Bumthang) and cook with Bumthap family. We will make Puta – a dish of barley noodle. Also there will be varieties of buckwheat and vegetable dishes. You can either make these dishes or watch your hosts do it.

Skeletal Itinerary: 

Day 01:           Fly into Bhutan and drive to Thimphu.

Day 02:           Thimphu program.

Day 03:           Drive to Punakha.

Day 04:           Punakha program.

Day 05:           Drive to Bumthang.   

Day 06:           Bumthang program.

Day 07:           Fly on Domestic airline to Paro.

Day 08:           In Paro Tiger Nest program.

Day 09:           Exit Bhutan.
